So my username on reddit was u/IAmUser1234567 I had 17k+ Karma, i didn’t do anything they just banned my account. Now i guess they have created a digital fingerprint or marked my ip address, because if i create a new account it gets banned almost instantly.

I am loving lemmy(using Voyager on my android phone) so much. Reddit anyways now just contains shity cringe content, it is becoming like insta, I am happy to join lemmy family :)

I got banned from r/unpopularopinion circa 2015 for trolling. I submitted a post saying that only because something is on Netflix, doesn’t mean that it is automatically good. I got downvoted to hell and a lot of comments showing counter-examples, now that I think about, it must’ve been Netflix PR team.

Anyhow, decided to delete my account that was prior to the Digg migration, then made a new one, but never posted again. Now I’m here and loving it!

I was pre Digg too, had shitloads of karma, had started some pretty big subs, but after the API bullshit I scrambled my posts and came to the fediverse

Digg was actually pretty great. I tried to return to it after Reddit started getting dodgier, but it was already dead.

I went to Digg back in the day too before the fall and once upon a time, yeah, it wasn’t too bad really. Shame they ruined it, but that’s value extraction for you!
