I suppose there are lots of ‘simple sabotage’ measures one could imagine. Remember in Hogan’s Heroes, they would distribute the dirt dug from the tunnels by slowly releasing it from a sack inside one’s trousers while walking about the concentration camp.
That may or may not have happened in Hogan’s Heroes, but I’m pretty sure it’s originally from the film The Great Escape, and may have been based on real events

I’ve actually wondered about doing something like that with salt. Would wreck the ice still and likely much harder to catch.

Sabotage, huh? All I know is throwing bird seed on Tesla car lots and cop parking lots is good for the birds.

A glycol-based antifreeze would do. Like the liquid that plow trucks spray along with the salt when it gets extra cold.
There are trucks that spray glycol on roads but I can’t just dump my used coolant in the streets? So unfair.
