this article explains the conversation/thread of news stories I pulled that statement from.

the post has been updated with a couple dozen links to relevant organizations/companies.

i updated the post with a few examples.

i could and should write a book on the subject.

this isn’t ai doomerism in any way. imo we are living in amazing times, given one takes precautions.

there’s no way i’m identifying myself here. thanks for asking.

the generations living today are stepping stones to the future. we are living in transitional times.

you are generally correct. but wrong in the most important way possible.

i have read and watched and listened to as much information/media from a wide and deep array of sources. i know that sounds trite. but it’s what i have done as a lifestyle for 15 years.

for example, the feds have been expecting a time of accelerating technological convergence (similar to “the singularity” or “a transcendental object at the end of history”) since the 1950s. something important (unknown to me) happened in the federal government during the 1950s. it was a systemic cultural shift from the top down. it could have been more of a bottom up series of changes. but i really don’t know for sure.

these are likely those times. the consequences are world changing and we are just at the beginning of it all.

this is what my research indicates.

i understand the skepticism. that’s why all of my research tools are open source and why i admit i could be wrong about anything. always in pursuit of truer trues. always in alignment with the truth.
