Using windows nowadays is like staying in an abusive relationship while you have an actual chance to get out, then complaining about it. Linux works no problem. And if a software/hardware vendor refuses to bring it to Linux, then you vote with your wallet. We need to let go of a bit of our love for “convenience” and try to be uncomfortable a tiny bit. Be a tiny bit inconvenienced.

I went to college for Microbiology and became a programmer on my own after, so nope, never written a single line in assembly and never thought of checking it out either. Just never really crossed my mind. I might start messing with it soon.

Nope, not a sell out. Just a person using the tools at hand. You can’t just live in the past. You did it without Google back then because there was no Google and you had to use what you had to use. Now you use Google, because again, you have to use what you have to use. In the end, I personally only care about the outcome.
