Ceasefire is a matter of just one order to be issued, and Russia purposefully avoids that and instead proposes to first cede Donbass and then have “peace talks”.

One has to be an utter idiot to not see through that, and unfortunately there’s no shortage of these.

Giving up territory is a trap in the same way that walking up to the barrel of a loaded shotgun is a trap.

It’s obvious Russia wants everything for nothing in return. Give them land for what? So they stop killing people? How about they get Donbas, and Ukraine gets St. Petersburg? That sounds more like a deal.
