    Nomad considered digging deeper to find out exactly what the machine was doing, but ultimately decided it wasn’t worth keeping the device connected

    What on the LAN was it connecting to, and furthermore, what’s the point of writing an article about it that doesn’t include such details or even what brand and model coffee machine this is.

    Ah, the X post says Keurig. Sounds like a faulty unit or somehow misconfigured. More details about what it was specifically doing on the local network and whether another unit behaved the same way would be useful info.

    Geez, you could probably download the molecular formulas for all of the many chemical compounds in coffee and the ratios to combine them in to imitate various beans without using that much data.
