As consumers, we’ve got to start saying no to connected devices that really don’t need to be connected (and most don’t need to be connected anyway).

I have a microwave and a washing machine that have the ability to be connected to Wi-Fi that will never be connected to my Wi-Fi.
I cannot personally fathom why they would ever need network access.
