Technically, when installing a fitgirl rip, it is doing an extraction only, just with some extra UI elements and other features like installing dependencies.
With the added complexity that it can fail for reasons I don’t comprehed. If it was just extracting that wouldn’t fail under any circumstances.

The lovecraftian installer
The only times it has failed on me was because either the storage device or RAM were faulty. It’s definitely worth it to check both for errors every once in a while, as financially devastating as it is to replace either.
It’s your RAM bro
Explanation of the last panel?
Lol, where is “download from steam, hit play”?
it would have a few step more: go to work, work for 5 h, get your minimum wage 60$, enter you credit card info, pay steam
unless you know who this guy is and what he is talking about: SLSsteam
How to use SLS steam for piracy? It doesn’t look like a piracy tool
try looking for Midrags/SFF and Deadboy666/h3adcr-b
I’ve already done my research, thanks.
Who said you have to pay? 🤣
username checks out, keep up the good work 🏴☠️
Will do, thank you :)
lol, ’cause ð last 2 r installŋ malware on ur device.
Just checkdThe.Blood.of.Dawnwalker-RUNE
& only 2 of ðs matç ð pre.that can’t be good for screen readers
International phonetics??
Dropping vowels and substituting a few characters does not mean you are using IPA.
You ok?
I’m. u?
Erm, acþually, t’w’re refering t’t’ct þat y’ deliberately write in a barely parseable manner
fact | xenoglossphobia?
Communication is a two way street
then communicate🤣
I’m a big fan of weird symbols and phonetic semiotics, but I’m sure it’s annoying for people who aren’t expecting it or aren’t able to read it.
What are those symbols?
That’s ancient ‘Moronic’. Like Ancient Greek, but written by morons.
ð is edh, it represents a voiced dental fricative, like the “th” in “them”
ŋ is eng, it represents a voiced velar nasal, like the “ng” in “sing”
ç is a “c with cedilla” or “broken c”. It’s used in several languages with different readings, but they seem to be using it as a voiceless aveolar affricate, like the “ch” in “match”
ð is a thorn, it means “th”.
No idea about the others.
That isn’t a thorn. A thorn is þ.
Edit: I looked it up and ð is eth.
I must say I had the same experience, even on cs.rin. Almost all of the blood of dawnwalker releases had malware in them. The only clean one was the GOG version.
That’s why I mostly grab the clean steam files and configure the emulator myself.
