    It’s the beavers fault! It’s definitely not the huge companies and countries fault. Lets all focus on the beavers… Fucking moronic.

      It’s a feedback. We get the amount of warming we do because those feedbacks amplify the effect of releasing additional CO2

        The beavers are just colonizing new agricultural lands. They are landscape engineers. They may accelerate warming but they are also agents that shape very productive landscapes. It just seems like the biosphere adapting to a new equilibrium.

        I do take issue with the claim that dams really reduce the amount of water downstream, at least in the long run. The hydrosphere may take some time to adapt but dams increase infiltration. Look to the permaculturists who make strategic flow restrictions and see new springs emerge in following years downstream as an example.

        Just saying, I’m on team beaver.
