Toyota has launched a paid service that allows GR Yaris and GR Corolla owners to add a cooling function for the electronic control system of their car via a smartphone app.
So, people need to pay monthly, or their car catches fire?

They’re already planning to have self-driving cars drive themselves to impound if you miss a payment. I suppose they could do that for plenty of other reasons, too. Like if you modify the car in some way against TOS, or if they decide they want it back to add to their fleet of robotaxis because that would be more profitable for them.
Is it related to the problem where those cars would randomly catch fire?
