The link is for a script/tool to help install your own media server. To share your media you’ll want to consider the best method of remote access for the people you’ll be sharing with, and what your internet upload speed can handle. For example if your ISP provides your connection via coax, 4k streaming would not be ideal, as upload speeds with coax tend to be 10-40mb. As for access, you can setup wireguard tunnels, use tailscale, or a reverse proxy. Those are probably the most accessible and well known, which will help when you have issues and need questions answered. As for what media server to use, I’d always recommend Jellyfin.

Probably. I’d recommend just going through the steps on their website and then following the instructions, but just omit Jellyfin from the services to setup.
