Hello /c/Canada

You know how there’s a 2nd amendment in the U.S. on the right to bear arms? I know that it was originally meant to allow people to form militias and defend their rights should the government become an authoritarian regime and stop following the constitution.

Is there anything similar in Canada in terms of laws or rights and freedoms?

That is because for decades pro-gun groups and organizations in the US have been cooped by fascists and right-wing people. In the US the police and government didn’t generally like to get their hands dirty very often with suppressing minorities and disliked communities, they outsourced stuff like that to the Klan. In Canada it was (and is) different.
