Petro investors are so stupid. This was an inevitability. You literally pay once and then unlimited energy with minimal maintenance. Petrol/fossil fuels you have to light on fire and never use it again.
Its the easiest math equation ever.
The best part is you can recycle the materials after they have reached the end of their useful lives. Some panels are still good after 40 years from what I remember reading.
