      The only real competition is coming from China.

      That being said, Japan might offer a competitive option with Rapidus, but it’s tough, they’ve been building out the infrastructure and ecosystem since 2022 and they have yet to show any results.

      Europe should have started a initiative like Rapidus many years ago, especially with the extremely high likelihood of the US turning into a corrupt, chauvinist oligarchy for the next 20-30 years.

      But European leadership is subpar (look at Merkel) and the European population needs to wake up. I don’t mean this in the American pompous polemical sense, I mean this in the Ukrainian (or Georgian) sense.

        Never heard about Rapidus, they seem very ambitious, best of luck to them.
        I think real competition from China on high end like 2nm will take years. But for sure they are doing many things and pushing their position forward.
