They were never going to and most sane people knew it.

I am curious if they ever launched the mobile $47.45 monthly service. It’s just an MVNO, so they wouldn’t have had to build out infrastructure. My understanding was that they were going through T-Mobile, so it would just be a matter of signing papers.

This would save Trump fans a lot of money since I don’t believe most of them know what an MVNO is. I’m paying $25 a month for Visible, which uses Verizon. There are others, like Mint Mobile (uses T-Mobile) and US Mobile (which uses Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile, but you have to pick the one you want to use). They’re all cheaper than Trump Mobile was supposed to be, but Trump Mobile is still cheaper than going straight through a Big 3 carrier. (Though, I don’t know if they’re the Big 3 anymore. Since T-Mobile got Sprint and then US Cellular, I don’t think there’s anyone but them. I do know Dish Network and a couple cable operators have offered cell service in the past, but I’m not sure what the status of that is. The “Big 3” might be the “only 3” now.)

I think they did and do intend to do it. They’re just too dumb to figure it out, and have their hands in too many other pots.
