Sure, mass surveillance, corporations have more rights than citizens, rigged anticompetitive economy, and a two tier justice system. Sounds super free.

You sound like you would love living in Texas.

Father and uncle both committed suicide. Short answer: fix society and the US healthcare system. Longer answer: culturally men have been ostracized and marginalized in Hollywood and social media for decades and the actual practice of psychiatry is decades behind the study of depression and mental illness. Talk therapy and medications with fractional response rates are still the gold standard and neither address the underlying root causes. Standard pharmaceutical treatments in addition to having incredibly low effective rates also come with a deluge of side-effects and diminishing returns over time. Talk therapy doesn’t actually address societal, economic, or familial pressures and without the time or mental space to practice coping methods, is largely useless.
TL;DR treat men like valued parts of society and family, and in the same spirit of equality, equally divide the fiduciary and family responsibilities between all adults. The modern father and husband averages well within reason 50% of all familial contributions while still being treated as a burden on partners.

And not a single company is staffing for it… leh sigh

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but 90% of the software industry now heavily relies on AI. I was part of a team for a company that was very anti-AI, and they realized they were losing ground to competitors so they implemented essentially mandatory Claude use with tracked usage metrics - literally overnight.

You have to be registered with a party to take place in that party’s rigged primaries.

Yes, and… it’s a skill that needs to be practiced. We don’t call it out as a skill, we don’t recognize it as a skill, and we don’t tell others that they need to practice it. So we get stupid shit like people saying they don’t do social media, on social media.
The world would be a much better place if we prioritized self-awareness as a universal skill.

Lacks self-awareness, along with everyone upvoting them lol.

It’s Atlanta, Georgia in a very modest burb on a very small plot of land. 100% not where he is living.

Hate to tell ya’ll but it’s highly unlikely the CEO of Flock lives in that house. It’s either misinformation or a honeypot. You don’t sell out your country and live in a house on a plot of land that small and without armed security.

Brilliant lol

30 moderators of a sub for idiots who hate a technology instead of the assholes doing bad shit with the technology accounts for about the same number of brain cells as an infant. So probably barely functional.
I appreciate and applaud the chance to change the post.
Ultimately I’m not interested in partaking in new speak ableism for the sake of a humorous online forum.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/retard The word is not hate speech, it’s a legitimate word long associated with a concept rather than personal trait or identity.
We’ve allowed our online spaces to be a bastion of idiotic ideas, giving every bad and unintelligent thought a platform and inherent validation. Effectively creating a post-truth reality.
On principle I won’t enable that. Again appreciate the offer, do what you have to do. There are real-world sociological consequences.
The anti-AI zealotry on Lemmy has been surprising. They have no idea what to actually be upset about and instead they parrot the most retarded shit.
Be mad at the corrupt exploitative companies, not the technology that has the potential to unlock miracles.
Critical thinking is a rare commodity on social media. The the AI hate is basically lemmy’s version of facebooks anti-vaxxers.

You’re asking them to learn and understand rather than parrot… god speed.

I would much rather have content made with vision by a small AI augmented team than no content because of a lack of funding or ability. I’m great at programming, but I’m no fucking artist. AI makes it possible for people on either side to deliver a unified end-to-end vision. This hate of anything AI is misdirected. Hate the shitty companies, not the technology. Idiots sound like the anti-calculator folks.

Just as a good to know, if feces (especially of unknown origin) are involved in a cleanup and restoration project, it becomes a biohazard and requires additional time and resources.

Defending any involvement is certainly a choice…
Shh, you’re using logic on social media.
If the haters only realized that literally every software company has been using it since at least last fall, we’d have a helluva lot more Amish.
