I know China isn’t the problem, hence the “/s”
Nor am I qualified in any way to suggest any solutions.
What I did get is a bad vibe that wasn’t there before. And I immediately thought that there were a lot of things that could have been disclosed more clearly.
Maybe it’s also my fault for forgetting he is an entertainer first and foremost, and wants to earn money from his efforts.

His own video of him sourcing and getting them manufactured.
He couldn’t get a decent price from US sources so he tried to source from India(?) or another manufacturing hub. After digging into sources they also turned out to be made in China. Because China is obviously the enemy here /s
He then basically said “oh well we’ll keep trying” while still selling his brushes at an absurd full price.
The video made me uncomfortable.

Unfortunately this guy has turned into a hack. His brushes are mostly NOT made in the US.

Perfect opportunity for a grotesquely wealthy person to step in and fund it for the next thousand years.

They wanted to “eat their own dog food” but it’s closer to “eating their own dog shit”

The mouth-breathing AI-bros that present to our very large company are revolting. In our industry the accuracy of our software is literally life or death.
And the presenter is all “teehee look at how cool it sorta kinda made a shitty web app to look at cats on a map and it took 5 tries to make it display a pulldown in the correct order teehee”
Yea dude, your middle school project isn’t impressing anyone.
I wouldn’t be so angry if we weren’t actually giving them money.

I don’t understand how hard it is to just like, not cheat.
Have some self-respect.

Expired certs are a telling indicator of workplace chaos. This happens when good developers are replaced with much cheaper contractors, and all the shit the original devs did on the side gets lost.
It’s not the contractors’ fault. It’s short-sighted management that piss off good workers who can choose where they want to work.
A “battery tender” or similar can sometimes help batteries that aren’t too far gone. And check water levels like the other comment mentioned.

The technology exists that address your concerns but it’s common practice to dump costs on consumers these days.

LFP are still heavier for the same energy.
A small engine would replace most of the batteries in a plug-in hybrid. Complexity makes initial cost a wash, and will be much lighter.
Especially for customers looking to haul or tow, this could be a good thing if done right.
“fossil fuel economy is finished” is such a polarizing oversimplification. It will still have its uses for a long time.
Instead of dramatic statements, can we have more positive perspectives like “grid batteries really work, here’s some proof”
