There are plenty of ways for a VM to tell that it’s a VM and not on baremetal, but there’s not really a way for a program running on an OS in the VM to block the Host OS or hypervisor software from capturing an image of the screen of the VM.

Unfortunately not all mobile browsers will show the entirety of the alt text if it’s too long, Firefox Focus on Android 15 and this exact comic is a perfect example, for my screen it cuts off about 3/4 through the alt text. The mobile version ensures it’s all readable

If request rates start getting problematic you could probably drastically reduce the refresh rate, seems like once per second right now which is way overkill IMO.
