You don’t have to be mentally ill to be religious. Some people just grew up with it and see it as their reality, and some people adopted it. Most religious people are not more or less mentally ill than the average religious none or atheist.

This is not excusable as like rehabilitate-able behavior, he should fertilize an apple tree and be happy about it because that’s the only configuration of his atoms I could see that’d actually benefit anyone.

She’s funny like how Trump is really funny. It’s not her actions that are funny. It’s her absurd character.

But the user who was talking about “Violent chest beating” was the other person, I thought.
But, I agree, the (mostly white) liberals who tried to compromise on Palestinians, trans people, immigrants, etc. to win absolutely deserve Trump. Idk if the marginalized people who fell for their tactics deserve it, though.

What are you talking about? They said they’re marginalized person and nothing specifically about being a liberal. They said they would die for anti-fascism pretty much and you’re calling them a Nazi?

Their take has the politics of like the bleakest possible form of defeatism: giving up and letting it happen to you, while hoping that something good might come out of you being steam-rolled. They’re not a fascist.
Idk sometimes people gravitate to the most hopeless political positions they can find and adopt them because if suffering is inevitable, then you’re more able to accept it on your terms and it feels more manageable. There’s a good quote somewhere I can’t remember that says the apocalypse has become an escapist fantasy from the real world.
Not really, no.
