There is nothing wrong with a logistical strategy of pushing products to market (without a demand). It’s a reasonable way to be able to push the price down. And I believe that is what Tesla wants to do? Tesla is not supposed to be a luxury brand
I think so. As I understand it, Tesla have produced to order before. Every car off the line went directly to a customer.

I can see it being an option for some people. If you print low volume but regularly every month. And you need a printer that always just works. The problem is the monthly limits! The base package is 20 pages per month, just printing out a pdf manual or something would eat that up in a minute. I would want unused prints to be added to next month.
Otherwise it is very similar to how it works for businesses having larger office printers.
No, you are right. But I do think most countries do use the same techniques, the problem is they can’t give subsidies for up to 50% of the new car price. It is simply not sustainable. There are also not enough cars to go around even if they did and even if most people had enough money burning in their pocket for a new car, which they don’t.

Probably the best bet right now. Both from a cost perspective and using resources better. One big battery in a single car vs 10 batteries in 10 PHEV. If we want to make a real impact right now the PHEV are a great choice and can reach more people. Then of course, the best is not drive any car at all, asvoften as possible. Taking public transport or walking/cycling is much better than than any BEV, imagine if every car owner would drive 10% less, that would make a huge impact. Much larger than building a fuck ton of BEVs from a sustainability standpoint.

Yes completely agree. Especially the price, most people don’t want to pay or can’t afford a 45-50k usd car after subsidies. (This is the minimum pricepoint to get something comparable to an average gas car, both trim wise and to get an at least acceptable range)
And let’s be honest about the subsidies, they just allow the car companies to charge a higher price in the first place… I expect the price to be about the same after they are gone.

Anyway, OP read different sources about OOP and still needs to ask the definition… At some point it is better to just do something than to keep banging your head at the theory. If learning to code is your endgoal
You are right. But I still find the ‘heavier’ theory, that is what I assumed OP refered to, to be more difficult to grasp then following a basic tutorial and just trying to solve problems. In time with practice you get a better understanding for WHY the theory is how it is, and you can apply it better and of course improve your code. And that understanding will unlock more tools both in OOP and in your mind.
So if you are struggling, I recommend not starting with theory.
Use it for a while, to complement your theoretical study. Things will only become clearer when you have your own understanding and opinion about it.

Yes a car is definitely not something that increases in value siting on a shelf ( if you don’t believe Musk). But they made the same car for years, so it is the same car as a few years ago? Does it matter if I get one from the shelf or one a year from now really?
