I kinda want it to be both hard and costly to invoke, needs to be an absolute last case, like have it trigger an election so that it has to be voted on by the next government, or have it trigger a referendum that requires a super majority of eligible voters to pass (nonvoters count as no), and if it does succeed it terminates when parliament dissolves, that’s kinda inline though with the 5 year renewal periods.

I was in the “I masked hard until I lost the structure going into uni” camp, and even then I didn’t actually get a diagnosis until 31. It’s super familial and looking back, my dad 100% has ADHD and kinda suspect my mom has ADHD too, it’s not that they were in denial they just didn’t see anything as atypical, no teacher ever flagged me either, again, hindsight, I was overly talkative to the point of distraction and absolutely had emotional disregulation.
My parents did their best and were supportive of me, it sucks I was late diagnosed but was not due to them at all.

I do agree with you wrt our system needing changing, I’m vehemently in favour of literally anything but fptp but prefer something like stv. Personally, I’d also be in favour of rescinding the mandatory election dates put in place in what, 2007-2008 and really would like to return to the per-vote subsidies (just get money out of politics period).
While I can get your intent in that you feel that the PM should have a mandate (again, arguably that mandate is fulfilled if they are capable of maintaining confidence of the house), Canadians are ignorant about our system of government (anecdotally, I know Canadians who consume more American news media and pay attention to their elections, but don’t do the same domestically, likely contributing) which is a problem (and a point of irritation for me).
Our system is fundamentally different than the presidential republic that the yanks have, you do not vote for the PM, you vote for your rep. The PM is the person with confidence of the house, which often is the plurality party leader, but there’s no requirement of this at all, there’s history of the PM not even being an MP in Canada, two of them were senators who took office after the PM died.
Your MP is your voice, tell them to vote non confidence if you truly feel that an election should be called, I feel fairly safe to say however that once parliament resumes we’re going to see that happen anyhow and the writ dropped shortly thereafter or the PM asking to GC to dissolve parliament.

I bought an old simple HP LaserJet like 4 years ago, it’s probably the worst printer I’ve ever used and that includes the crappy bubblejet printer we had as a kid. Shit you not, I pretty much need to hand feed the thing, it almost always fails to grab a sheet out of the tray and it’s usually crooked when it does.
Wish I hadn’t given my brother printer to my parents when I graduated honestly, was solid af. It’d be 16 years old now but still going strong.
I legit cannot imagine consuming 1g of THC let alone 1g/kg, you’d literally be eating thousands of gummies if you’re doing edibles (10mg seems to be the strongest edibles I can get) which would be really expensive, rough for a 70kg person would be nearly 9000 10mg gummies which are like $4 cad each, would cost $36,000.

Recognising it was the hardest part for me, and no you’re right it’s not easy, meds definitely helped me but they’re also not at all a quick fix. Also, it’s less these days but work stress can definitely still creep up on me, having a support network helps, but these days I just don’t care about work as much as I used to (not that I don’t care at all, just really try to frame what’s most important to me)

Straight arch works great with nvidia cards, gaming was my last hitch too, only thing I really miss is HDR in games, but it’s a tradeoff I’m willing to have (had bad times with gamescope and nvidia, I’m content to leave it alone for now, things change rapidly anyhow)
