Thank you for doing this.
The article is a little weird. This is my interpretation, need to look for other sources.
President says that the ambassador is “taken hostage, literally”.
Military in Niger wants him out of the country, but French government says that his work is too valuable, he must stay.
Military says " OK, but he can’t leave the embassy, Persona Non Grata".
Technically the ambassador has either choice of leaving the country or staying inside the embassy. Food is not delivered anymore, leaving him with military rations to eat.
The French variant of the article says that there is only military rations left to eat at the embassy.
But your post kind of implies that the French embassador is “force fed” military rations? This is a very weird way to translate it.
This is an interesting take, and I learnt from it. Would you mind sharing one or two of your references?
I had a heated discussion the other day on this topic, and I wish to know more.
On the other hand, I don’t really understand your statement that nobody is seriously building reactor lately.
China has started building new reactors. They are not planning but effectively doing it. Am I missing something?

Easy to say, for areas where drinkable water is scarce
This is gold advice. Thank you.
You are right. Maybe we should simply give it time.
Speaking of which, I don’t anymore. Any volunteer?
I’ve been genuine and visited your community.
We agree to disagree. Let’s leave it at that.
You can now go back to your gentleman’s club.
I will give it a try. Thanks for sharing
Oooh I agree, this is some actual dirt
Brave’s marketing has always made me uneasy, but it was more like a vague thought. This why I’m intrigued by your opinion. Do you have examples of their “problematic” management?
Self-hoster of a searxNG here. With docker, your can spin your own in 1 minute top. I’ll never go back to any other search engine, this is the best (imho).
This is why I said it should never be done outside of a VM or sandbox. But you are right, this is playing with fire haha.
Do you have a virtual machine, or a filesystem that you could mess with?
A good project idea would be to manipulate files on your system. Sort them, duplicate them, add programmatically one line to their content. The possibilities are plenty and you can see the result of your code.
Besides that, look for tutorial repositories on Github (or codeberg.org).
Last but not least, VSCode is my personal favorite, but you could check out PyCharm for beginning, as it has more features out of the box.
I’ve been waiting for you folks :D
From what I read in the article, layoffs were higher in the non-techy departments of these tech companies.
Departments like marketing, and HR, that have a higher demographics of women, as stated in this article.
I don’t think the article is fair to say that it drags us back many years regarding efforts in equity, when said efforts were targeted towards tech and engineering departments.

Hey, thanks for your answer.
blockchain and web3 communities don’t have many posts (web3.lemmy.zip is empty)
and web3_xr weirdly is a community about the history of internet, as stated in their description.
I hoped that someone could recommand a more lively community to get started, but I guess we are still very early in the ecosystem of Lemmy.
Thanks for the recommendations anyway!
