This joke was inspired by me stealing it from somebody else on the internet. We’re a bunch of Fun Lovin’ Criminals here.
(I know they’re from the 90’s, but I couldn’t help myself.)

I heard it’s an avian virus, being spread by a Flock of Seagulls making a Journey across Asia.
I thought it was big in automotive and aerospace.
I would be attending the local beekeepers’ club meetings, but the meeting time conflicts with another regular activity of mine.
And getting a bat box is also on my to-do list. So many things to do, and never enough time!
I will have to look into mason bees. I have heard of them but never read up on them.
I was gifted a flow hive and neglected to source a brood of honey bees over the winter, so it’s empty at the moment. If I’m lucky I might “catch” a new queen and her entourage later in the season when they are splitting off from established hives and looking for a new home.
It’s you, me, and Sasquatch just chillin’ up here in the best place on earth. 🌊⛰️🌲☀️
Pro/E doesn’t leave you waiting. Instead, it abruptly exits with no warning.
(No, I’m not calling it Creo. I’m old and stuck in my ways.)
That sucks. Best of luck to you both going forward. Fuck cancer.
I have noticed a distinct lack of bees in my garden. My lilac bush and fruit trees are usually humming in springtime. The local beekeepers tell me that the unusual winter we had was hard on the hives, and a lot of bees died. I hope they rebound!
Unique experience: This isn’t totally unique, but a local ice cream shop sells affogato (ice cream with a shot of espresso poured over the top). I need to get one soon and eat it outside in the sunshine!
Awesome links. I would love to see the second one with updated data.
Ah, good point. I should read the whole chart before I comment.
It seems like all the in-between areas are some mix of Red Sox and Yankees. C’mon people, pick someone else to cheer for.
The Athletics don’t dominate anywhere, either. Though they’re nomads right now, so it isn’t too surprising.
Well, am in the process of fixing it up.
It’s a lifestyle. The fixing up never ends.
Own. I wanted to buy in my early 20’s but wasn’t able to make it happen until my mid 30’s. (Nothing like chasing a skyrocketing housing market, amiright?) I hate being responsible for all the maintenance, but otherwise it’s a huge step up in every way. I never want to go back to renting.
All those years of renting left me with a lifelong distaste for landlords. Perpetually renting is part of the American poverty trap, IMO. I hate seeing my peers buying up the last would-be starter homes to turn them into rentals. And I hate that all the new construction around me is targeting higher-income buyers. If I had the time and money, I would love to build modest homes and sell them to first-time buyers and new parents.
Nice visualization. Unfortunately the domain it’s blocked on my work network for some reason. Hopefully others don’t have the same problem.
Short summary in case you cannot access the site:
The DOGE cuts represent <1% of federal spending. They are targeted for political messaging and stoking culture wars, not for reducing the deficit or cutting the size of government. Which shouldn’t be surprising to anyone.
Stuck on the treadmill of adulthood but determined to have a good time.
KEXP is doing their six-degrees week and I am loving it! Today is the last day, so y’all still have a few hours to listed to the livestream if you like.
