I do have to pick up every month in Texas. They send 3 separate prescriptions, and I pick up once per month and then see the Dr for a new script 3 months later. You can pick up 2 days early, but some pharmacies allow up to 4 days early iirc.

Maybe get a 1 month organizer or a few more weekly ones so you only have to refill once a month. There are also timer lock box or pill cap gadgets.
Where? I get my prescription renewed every 90 days, but it has to be sent as 3 separate prescriptions, and you have to wait at least 28 days in between filling each one.
frogfruit@slrpnk.netto Autism@lemmy.world•You know what irritates me irrationally today, the saying "miss the forest for the trees"English5·1 year agoThat saying really bothers me too, but mainly because I’m always hearing it. For example, programming is often really difficult for me because I have a hard time thinking about the big picture, and I struggle to break the task down into parts that work together. I often get too hung up on small details.

frogfruit@slrpnk.netto Autism@lemmy.world•anyone just sink into the sounds of music so much that you forget how english/your language sounds like, and you just hear some alien language in the song?English1·1 year agoSame. It’s a struggle for me to learn lyrics unless I’m reading them at the same time. And then by the time I learn the song, I’m often sick of it.
I have gotten much better about not procrastinating, but it takes me much longer to get anything done if I’m not in the mood to do it. I don’t know if it’s worth it. There’s less guilt I guess.
frogfruit@slrpnk.netto Autism@lemmy.world•I'm stuck researching things instead of actually doing anythingEnglish3·1 year agoPretty much every time I want to make something new, I spend more time looking at recipes than actually cooking. That’s why I mostly eat the same thing everyday. I make sure to save any new recipes when I like them, or else I might never find them again.
For learning to cook, YouTube is free. You can follow the recipe as you go along, pausing and rewinding as needed.
I buy many dry ingredients online. For fresh produce, you may need to substitute ingredients. I used foodsubs.com a lot when I lived in a rural area and had difficulty finding ingredients.
frogfruit@slrpnk.netto Autism@lemmy.world•difference between a statement and a complaint?English3·1 year agoYour roommate was probably just exchanging pleasantries, and the appropriate response would be a short, positive answer and an ask in return. Personally I think it’s dumb to ask how people are if you don’t want an honest answer, but it’s just one of those things neurotypicals say when they mean another. If it makes you uncomfortable to say you’re good when you’re not, you could just ignore the ‘how are you’ part and respond something like “hey man, how’s it going?” or “good to see you; how are you doing?”
frogfruit@slrpnk.netto ADHD memes@lemmy.dbzer0.com•ADHD Depot: Tools for Leashing Your PotentialEnglish2·1 year agoYeah I’m definitely aging faster than most of my family.
Yup I will sit there hyper focused on code for hours and often ignore the need to eat, hydrate, or urinate, which results in frequent UTIs, dehydration headaches, eye strain, and chronic back/hip pain. People say hyper focus is a super power, but it comes at a cost. Meds help with powering through undesirable tasks, but they can make the hyper focus even worse.
I think I read that one and it was dumb AF. Basically just a bunch of anecdotes about rich celebrities with ADHD having successful careers.
You can major in Liberal Arts at some schools, but many call it General Studies. It’s basically for when you can’t decide on a major.
