3 years agoJust another grand announcement with no real progress being made. I’ve been in Bowmanville for 10 years now, and even when I moved in it was a bit of a joke that all politicians would proudly talk about their big plans for bringing the GO Train here, and each candidate seeking re-election would go on about how they were supposedly instrumental to this. Here we are 10 years later, and the province has only just awarded a “planning contract”, meaning they’re not really any closer to shovels in ground. This thing will never be finished at this rate.
Like it or not, we don’t technically vote in a PM in Canada. We vote in a local candidate, who represents a party, and that party is in control of the party leader. So realistically, very few Canadians are ever actually voting for the person who is designated PM. But don’t let that stop you from getting upset.
