Ah, that makes sense. Didn’t realize FolderSync went through the WebDAV protocol. I’m used to manually copying things to my nextcloud drive and running a scan.

Does that automatically add it to the database or do you have a scan schedule?

I have it and immich set up. Nextcloud memories is fine, but for me the auto upload would randomly stop at some points. Overall ux with immich is better, but memories gets the job done.

The crime occurred when he was 16.

Ah, I see. Definitely possible to set up something like nextcloud or immich for file and photo backup. Then use a VPN like tailscale or wireguard to access while out of the house, or setting it up publicly available (usually being a reverse proxy).

Absolutely. Plenty of backup software will work with an external drive, provided it’s plugged in. Hell even a cron job would work.

Neat! Definitely a cool project, I just had no issues with any of that with Immich CLI. Thanks for the info!

What advantage does this have over the immich cli? I ask because I’ve never had issues with the built in cli, although I understand it used to be worse.

Reminds me of three word location.

Since when are military, teachers, and firefighters part of corporate America? And coming from the absolutist free speech party? These are government positions being terminated for expressing an opinion. You know, protected speech.
I got to 24. A URL for a YouTube video with a specific length is just gonna be too much for me.

That’s apple. Android has traditionally allowed sideloading. They aren’t be forced to open up anything, they’re just adding restrictions.

Unless you own the domain. Then switching providers is a simple DNS/MX/DKIM/DMARC update.

While there are huge issues in ATC and military aviation, 5 miles is pretty damn far apart for planes not on a collision course. The (IFR) standard is 3 miles of separation within 40 miles of the radar site and 5 miles separation beyond that. So that could be within standard separation.

Wireguard/tailscale in?
I didn’t use OwnCloud, but I haven’t had much issue with Nextcloud. I run it bare metal on a pi 4 and haven’t had issues with resource hogging. Getting php to work when the update to php 8 was a bit of a pain but eventually figured it out.

As I understand, stealing implies denying someone use to their property, whereas piracy is a copy and is copyright infringement.

Sorta. Congress has the power to declare war, but the President has the power to direct the military in war and in “peace”. The War Powers Act was supposed to constrain that power, which limits military action without Congressional Approval to 60 days (plus 30 for withdrawal). But no President has acknowledged that that law is constitutional. Plus 90 days is a long time in modern warfare.
Thanks, Calvin’s Dad!
