Even if every update after this one is a useless UI change. :p

I really hope so too. I’m tired of Musk.
Isn’t that just a rainbow. I mean it’s the same effect. Just with a different light source. Seeing as the light source is not specified in the word rainbow, I don’t see the need to a different word.
Excellent. Now, make a similar statement about corporate spyware.
This is why I’m opposed to reparations in the form of a single direct payment to descendants. What’s going to happen is a very small group is going to negotiate with the rich ppl. The rich will offer a pittance, because the descendants have no leverage. The descendants will accept, cause … free money. And then a lot of white will decide that black people need to stop bitching about slavery, cause whatever injustices were committed have officially been paid off. It’s bad idea.
It’s better to explicitly define current day social inequalities that at the result of slavery. E.g. enormous difference in median household wealth between black and white ppl. Define a plan to rectify that specifically. And then commit slavery profiteers to pay for the plan until that specific inequality is in longer present.
I don’t know how old you are, nor should I, so I can’t do anything to stop you.
What are the most likely causes of death? Are we talking average life expectancy drops by a couple of years, but quality of life remains constant? Or are we talking famine and war due to a loss of areable land?
I assume it’s a little of both, but it’s useful to know which sides the scales tip.
I have the same issue. Also using lemmy.world.
Totally agree. Microsoft has invested way too much in openAI to have a repeat of the Sam Altman debacle. They will formalize their control of te company. And Altman has already shown that in conflict between the board and MS, he’s on Microsoft’s side.
Also, any openAI developer who thinks that openAI currently is an independent company is kidding themselves. Microsoft is effectively already calling the shots, al be it in a roundabout way.
