I’m young and have played computer games since childhood, I never bought a VR headset cause anything more than 20 minutes and I feel dizzy as fuck.

VR needs an overhaul for me to actually buy into it, I honestly just think the headsets aren’t going to work, I don’t think a higher refresh rate will fix this

I mean we have other studies that show kids who play video games usually are better at problem solving and fine motor controls.

Could be like you said, bad parents. Could also be that the content developed for mobile is somewhat mind numbing by design, most games are idle or just geared towards ads/in game purchases instead of game content. Apps tend to be easier to use and navigate as well.

Technology is obviously a powerful tool for both good and bad.

I specifically remember them announcing quarterly profits from YouTube in alphabets breakdown a few years back, they are almost definitely profitable, I’m okay with being proven otherwise but as far as I know YouTube is profitable now.

YouTube has definitely been profitable for many years dude, I don’t know what your on about.

They were able to build a business and be profitable for over a decade but now all of the sudden ad block is destroying YouTube? 🤔

That’s it there, as a younger man most of the relationships I’ve been in end around 1-3 months in when I start trusting them and open up more emotionally. They almost always start ignoring me, ghost me or tell me it’s not working out.

It makes you really just lose confidence in yourself as a person, when you’re reserved they want you they want your body, once you open up and you’re vulnerable even once everything changes all of the sudden.

I’m lucky to have a girlfriend who doesn’t think like that, the fact that she is part of LGBT community probably helps.

Anything is better than hating someone else for no reason, I’ve got enough hate in my heart as is, and one of the best ways to make me (and most people) feel better is to spread love.

It also doesn’t help that there’s a portion of feminists who are super extreme and basically just use feminism as a cover for man hating, which tends to push away young boys from real feminism.

I think there are a lot of layers to it tbh, the right promises young boys all of these things (that are bullshit) and tells them they are #1 and they matter most while in general left people tend to say that men (even moreso cis white men) are the problem, which tends to alienate those people.

As a very left leaning cis white male it does feel extremely lonely, I am very depressed and never feel like my feelings are valid. I can’t point to a boogeyman and say “that’s the reason my life sucks” cause I’m the boogeyman and the only reason my life sucks is because I suck.

It’s right wing option is just earlier mentally for boys to handle.
