World News@lemmy.ml•‘You are all worse than each other’: anti-regime Iranians turn on TrumpEnglish
7·14 days agoYou say yourself that you don’t know how they feel about the US , yet you think it is relevant whether they support their government or not in the context of an imperialist state threatening their sovereignty.
Even the pinky finger is threatening to be a toe.

World News@lemmy.ml•Iranian warship hit by US torpedo did not carry ammunition, say Indian sourcesEnglish
2·23 days agoThe Iranian ship was participating in the military exercise last month. This specific ship was nowhere near US or Israel, not even in active combat. Why would they attack it?

4·23 days agowhere you know it will be defenseless
This is the reason why attacking military and attacking civilians are considered different. Civilians are defenseless. They do not carry weapons. Attacking a defenseless warship, where it went for a military exercise with a non-adversary country is cowardly. Ambush is not the problem here.
Edit: (from the post link)
According to reports, the rules of the exercise stipulated that no ammunition was allowed on participating ships.
Books are great. Also read lots of fiction.

18·25 days agoYeah because Iran and Iranians are from Mars I guess.
I’ll permit you to say
lmao
I wouldn’t call them ‘Trump’ supporters necessarily, but they are shamelessly supportive of US imperialism.
if you think the citizens who march in the streets everyday against this villainy are the perpetrators of this violence.
OP said ‘the US state’, not ‘people of the US’.
They probably mean that anyone supporting a genocide cannot be a progressive politician.
Anthony Goldstein Can someone explain this one?
But then it would have argued against using a car altogether.

3·1 month agoUnderstandable, since ‘classic’ is more likely to be used for a compliment. If it were me, I would have used ‘typical’.

Is this a US specific thing? In our schools, they taught us stuff, then took a test to see how much of it got inside our head. I can’t imagine a test having a question about a topic which is not taught yet. It feels like straight up bullying by the system. We send kids to school to learn things, not to get bullied for not knowing things they haven’t even been taught yet.
