I used to get this as a kid, this would have been about 1990 when I was 6 and at no point did anybody realise IT WAS BECAUSE NO-ONE TAUGHT ME, after that my mom spent an evening explaining it to me and after that I was fine. This is why I hate those videos where they give kids retro tech and laugh at them for not knowing how to use them, despite never being shown them before.

It’s a huge shame, as he requires two carers now, but he does sound as though he’s still sharp witted as ever, and is that thankful he has kept his voice after the stroke.

I live in the UK but yeah people just read shit online and they just believe it. Because you can’t just believe medical professionals from around the world, nope rando Facebooker number 6 is the only one who knows the truth…sigh

I asked them this and they just waved it off as ‘one of those things’ I’m like what the actual fuck you can’t just wave off a six month coma like it’s nothing, plus the other 6 months that they had recovering and being given light duties at work.

Unfortunately it won’t some people just believe what their told and that’s that. I once had an argument with a work colleague because they think COVID was a huge hoax, this person was in a coma for 6 MONTHS and still thinks it was fake

I know but that didn’t stop people screaming at me because of something I warned them about when they bought the damn thing.

My first job was working in a camera shop in the mid 00’s these were just about still for sale, and I hated them because people would buy them because of the floppy disk, see that at 2 megapixel they could only hold a couple of pictures so would then down the resolution to fit more on a disk and then come storming into us a week or so later because we ‘ruined’ their holiday photos or whatever because they were taking them at the lowest resolution and would be a grainy mess.
