There are a lot of backend processes for those sites which need a server, so that wouldn’t work, but thank you regardless.

If you’re doing static sites, then traffic shouldn’t be a concern.
I host two sites that each get more than 2 million hits a month, and I run them from a $0.10 cent Scaleway server.
Cloudflare in front of the sites takes most of the load.
Looks like a contributor was in a sanctioned region?
Not according to that thread - it looks like they don’t yet know what caused it:

No any details from GitHub yet. One contributor mentioned a temporary visit to disputed areas a long time ago — GitHub probably just flagged the account, and their bots messed up after that.
Maybe I’m a philistine, but I love this:
Spanish moss whispers—
Snow blankets Bourbon Street’s glow,
A rare Southern sigh.
I had to look up what Spanish Moss is, but that made the imagery even more vivid.
I needed to use multiple messaging apps for different people
Beeper is a lifesaver: https://www.beeper.com/
You can self-host if you prefer: https://github.com/beeper/self-host
If it helps, I’ve been using Bitwarden since 2019 and never installed the desktop app. Can’t imagine what you’d need it for.
If you click the link to the article about him saying it failed, he says:
Asked if the U.K. would have been better off remaining in the EU Farage insisted he didn’t “think that for a moment.”
So I think he’s sticking to his guns that leaving was better than staying. The situation sucks for everyone in the UK :(
That’s very interesting. I have been contemplating switching to Mac recently, and it’s a bit surprising to hear something that Windows can apparently do better. Thanks for the info.
Really? With Firefox in a Private browsing window - are you certain?
Here’s mine, with the vault currently locked, but not showing any locked state (point 3):
And for point 1, just unlock the dropdown extension, exit the extension window, then click on the icon again. It will be re-locked when it shouldn’t.
If you’re really not seeing this, would you mind telling me how you fixed it?
I posted the links for someone else, but looks like Tobenone have some docks specifically for M1/M2 Macs to allow dual displays:
Note: no idea if this works or not. I suggest looking for reviews
That’s a Windows dock - you’ll want to look at their Mac series for the Mac/Thunderbolt ones:
https://tobenone.com/collections/for-mac
The reviews on Amazon seem to indicate that Mac people are running 2 displays without issues from these docks. I can see that there are 2x DisplayPort options on their site.
I’m running dual 4K monitors from mine. Not using ethernet so can’t comment on that. I have no issues with the audio jack output, works perfectly and very low latency with Asio4All. It’s really neat to set my laptop down and plug in a single cable to both charge the laptop and output all the ports.
edit: Looks like they have some docks specifically for M1/M2 Macs to allow dual displays:
There are issues with Firefox private browsing windows that don’t happen in Chrome. Quoting their help article:
Not huge issues, but definitely annoying on a daily basis.
I have one of these and it is amazing:
Highly recommend for a fixed workstation docking station. They have both Thunderbolt and USB-C options.

How about https://revolt.chat/ or https://element.io/ ?
According to this post, it’s not that they don’t want to, it’s that GrapheneOS can’t be certified:
https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/475-wallet-google-pay/9
That post implies that there is something Google won’t do which prevents them from certifying, which supports what the OP was saying.
you are being deliberately deceptive here and I hate people like that
To be fair, you have no idea if they are being deceptive. They might simply not be aware that GrapheneOS chose not to pay to get certified. I certainly didn’t know that, and I’m not at all certain that Google would certify them if they chose to pay. Do you have a source for that?
The thing Synology does which no competitor is yet doing is rock-solid stability.
I have a 10 year old Synology running as well as it did the day I bought it, and I’ve never needed to troubleshoot a single issue on it.
Until a competitor can match that I will still be buying Synology, with the increased drive price the cost I pay for that stability.
I think people underestimate the value of that.
