I think it depends on how you pronounce it and context. I’m used to hearing a shorter bruh with a look attached to it as a question for “what are you doing?” vs a longer bruh like “bruuuuuuh” as empathizing like “that’s rough”.

News@lemmy.world•J.K. Rowling uses Harry Potter wealth to fund anti-transgender organization
5·1 year agoHer twitter is mostly about trans people instead of HP too. She could have just kept quiet and kept having her PR team sweep all the transphobic tweets she was liking under the rug like they did early on before she went full mask off. Climate@slrpnk.net•Third of UK teenagers believe climate change exaggerated, report shows5·3 years agoStaying away from the big platforms has worked out well for me. The internet is a tool. It’s more full of misinformation, disinformation, useless garbage, and scams now than it was, but it’s still useful if you know how to sift through it. We should be educating our youth on how to do that and identifying the list of pitfalls above to help make it even better.
You just have to look them in the eye and give them a firm handshake when you do it. It’s so simple!

It might work, if I remembered to do it in the moment, but I probably wouldn’t.
