It definitely wouldn’t be the left image. With legs like those, you could never pull the pants up past the first (or I guess technically last) level of branching. It would either be the big pants or a large number of seperate, smaller pants on each of the lowest branches.

Yeah I got into lockpicking a few years ago, figured out how to pick all the random master locks i had lying around the house, and immediately after spending like 250 dollars on some specialty, hard-to-pick locks, I lost interest. Still keep my lockpicking set in my car in case anyone locks themselves out of the house or something, but the dopamine i got from picking those first few locks is gone. On to the next thing.

In order for this thing to “learn” it has to know what people are looking for, so i’ve always imagined the porn problem as being a result of the fact that people are using these things to generate porn at a much greater volume than anything else, especially porn of women, so it defaults to nude because that’s what most requests were looking for

Some creators do get support from patreon, but most of those creators are on other platforms. I’m betting that this move pushes those creators out to focus on their other platforms, which will lead to a drastic drop in quality content.

Google Fiber was planned to install in my city, but their only way of delivering service to most neighborhoods was by digging into the roads to lay cables and then covering it up with rubber. Well, they did a terrible job with the roads, tons of damage and potholes, and then they “cancelled” Fiber, so it was all for nothing. You can’t even get Fiber in my city now, even though the uncancelled it.

Yeah my only interaction with reddit now is if I want to read honest discussion of some specific thing without worrying too much if it’s astroturfed, I can go to google and search like “wireless earbuds for sleeping reddit”. With this change I wouldn’t even have that option available, which I consider to be the last thing reddit’s good for.

A really great video, I finished it a couple hours ago and think I’ll watch it again tomorrow. Given Folding Ideas’ history of actually influencing these communities, I actually find myself a little worried for the GME cult to turn against Keith Gill. This video gives a pretty convincing case that Gill was really just a normal investor who made a killing on GME and then backed out when things started getting too crazy for him, and they might start calling him a shill and turn their frustrations against him.

A class on Unity right now would be only a month in, and those professors are probably agonizing over whether to continue teaching a course on an engine that might not even be a relevant skill by the time the semester is over, or desperately try to switch gears and teach something completely different. Probably not from Gamers Nexus’ side of things. Their video is very professional, and focuses on the damage done to other companies featured on the channel, and challenges LTT and LMG to be more professional. They also said in their followup that they won’t be making any more videos on the topic, their goal was to raise awareness, and now it’s LTT’s responsibility to decide what to change, if anything. Is LTT playing it up as drama? Maybe, but I think it’s more likely that they want it treated as drama rather than legitimate criticism so that they can ignore it and move on, rather than to increase attention/ relevance.
