I wish I had just a bit of whatever he’s on. Holy shit.
Hard relate to Pikachu

3·2 years agoOoooo, this is a good question!
I think mine would be wasabi (or horseradish, depending on how much you are spending). So delightful.

If that doesn’t work, you can do a search on www.oecd-ilibrary.org for “climate tipping points.”

Climate - truthful information about climate, related activism and politics.@slrpnk.net•Scientists detect sign that a crucial ocean current is near collapseEnglish10·2 years agoThis is from a paper another user submitted in the lemmy.ml collapse community:
An abrupt AMOC collapse would cause profound and abrupt shifts in regional weather patterns and water cycles.
An AMOC collapse under warming reduces the growth suitability of three major staple crops – wheat, maize and rice, which provide over 50% of global calories.
It’s worth reading through that whole section. TL; DR: Nothing good.
Edited to add this horrifying graph from the paper.

World News@beehaw.org•Climate records tumble, leaving Earth in uncharted territory - scientists
14·2 years agoYeah at this point, there’s two types of people. Those who aren’t interested in climate change either because they don’t believe it will happen or believe we can stop it, and those who are absofuckinlutely terrified. I think I’d rather be blissfully ignorant.

Technology@beehaw.org•No apologies as Reddit halfheartedly tries to repair ties with moderators
14·2 years agoIt’s easy to look at this from the lens of people just wanting power, but maybe it’s something akin to the grief, honest grief, I felt about leaving Reddit because I had been there so long as just a user. I can’t imagine how it would feel to give up control over something that I had created and curated for many years knowing that it was going to be destroyed.

Fair enough!
But isn’t that just giving Reddit more traffic and doing exactly what spez wants us to do?

25·2 years agoI’d like to thank you for what you did.
I had been on Reddit for a similar amount of time, but I had cycled through a number of usernames during that period. So it wasn’t nearly as big of a loss for me as it was for you—I appreciate the lengths you went for supporting the cause. Thank you.

Science@beehaw.org•A Third of North America’s Birds Have Vanished
11·2 years agoSame, friend. I have three bird tattoos, and I used to be a big birder, but I stopped. The woods around me are becoming quieter, and I can’t stand the silence, so I listen to music instead of looking for friends in the woods.

Could it be one of these? The first picture especially looks similar.
