While it would be nice if the US is occupied with itself granting us a needed respite, I’m not getting my hopes up. West Asia and North Africa will be a very different place if the US leaves, but like the British Empire it won’t leave until the very end.

What did you do to hold Biden and the Democrats accountable? Forgot how many times the Biden administration vetoed ceasefire at the UN? Or how it sent bombs to Israel, and bombed Yemen to help it commit the genocide?
Life would have been worse if it worked. China is a reprieve for the countries sanctioned and embargoed by the US and the EU.
For a practical example, a Saudi university built a supercomputer using US technology but they had to deny access to it to Iranian students. There’s no scenario where such a thing is fair or just, but the US makes the rules and the rest of the world has had no alternatives.
My Switch Lite is far more comfortable for me to play with than my Steam Deck. I know there are people who say that the Steam Deck is more comfortable and I believe them, but I get tired holding something big and heavy.
