I do personally think that trust shouldn’t be necessary in a system as important as parental rights and birth. The hospital should do a mandatory paternity test before any paperwork is signed, just to eliminate any doubts of responsibility and possible infidelity.

Another solution is to future-proof the house with a whole home battery pack that also serves to charge electric vehicles. That would serve the same purpose as the UPS. But it’s definitely a more expensive solution.

My first home had a dropped ceiling in the basement. It was so ugly, dropped whatever the hell that material is all over the floor when you moved it, and it was an old house so it started to discolor.

I’d rather crawl space that allows for running cable once every 10 years than have to deal with a dropped ceiling.

I totally agree with the first part. I’ll be building a home in a few years and I’m going to be running Ethernet cable to the home theater system, to the home office, to the doorbell, to the primary bedroom, probably to places where I need to put WAPs, and to places I may not need but could get use out of in the future.

I’m tired of having a WiFi router on one side of the house with crap coverage elsewhere and no way to wire my PC and game console without PITA cable running effort.

I’ll probably have a network closet built in somewhere or stick a router or switch in the utility closet so that I can put WAPs anywhere in the house.

Now to be completely honest, with all her insane wealth, the amount she gives is proportionally very very little. But at least she does something, I guess?

Her shows are actually an insane amount of work, and it’s obvious when you watch them. My wife is a huge fan, myself not so much, but I can at least admit that her talent is undeniable.

She does 3-hour shows Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, then does it again the next week, and she’s been doing that for over a year. It’s honestly nuts.

And even between all those shows, she’s releasing a new album. If anyone actually works for her wealth, it’s Swift.

Probably the amount stolen within the same state. But once you’re committing crimes across state lines, you’ve got bigger problems on your hands.

The only use case I’ve ever seen for having a connected appliance is to be able to preheat the oven while you’re out and about to get home.

I’m probably going to make it a rule that my kids don’t get them until 15. I’m 28 and have definitely been ruined by smartphones. My attention span is shit and motivation is hard to maintain when the internet is just right there.

I wish there was a device that only did the bare minimum of email, phone, texting, navigation, and music.

I also just really like the physical media. Putting on a record is ritualistic at this point.
