Honest question: is there a centralized alternative? Like “here, install this or use this SaaS, it enables your community to chat, discuss in forums, and allows you to manage a FAQ/KB from the content from the chat and forums”

Not autistic, but I’m an uncle of an autistic 5 y/o kid, and I constantly ask his parents what’s the best way to act and react around him, and I’m just glad I do that as that gets me closer to my nephew 🙂

I think you should be telling people what the autistic spectrum is, and that of course you will be too sensitive! Not everyone knows what it means, that it’s a spectrum.

Towards the end of the movie the kids use the computer to lock the doors. This is the great moment of fsn (“fusion”) the File System Navigator which is a real demo application and was not written for the movie. A binary was available from the official Silicon Graphics website for a long time.

Even though the QWERTY layout was designed so keys don’t get jammed when typing in a typewriter, it was also designed with no ergonomics in mind, and some decisions are questionable.

For example, the word typewriter is typed using letters from the top row only because of a design decision.

So, AS A JOKE, I’m saying that they also intentionally designed the layout so when typing “banana”, a banana would be drawn.

Wouldn’t be surprised if this was intentional. Same way as typewriter can be written with only the first row of letters.

As someone who didn’t have enough money to get a color monitor, I can tell you colors have almost nothing to do with dopamine generation. I played a lot of games in B&W and even used mspaint! Printed my beloved drawings in a dot matrix printer…

I think you mean to reduce distractions, not colors…
