Technology@lemmy.world•AI data centers face increasing complaints about inaudible but 'felt' infrasound — citizens complain high- and low-frequency sounds do not register on decibel meters but cause adverse health effectsEnglish

Get a better decibel meter, then?

Fediverse@lemmy.world•AI-assisted moderation in the fediverse is happening. Now what?English
3·8 days agoFocusing on a point that one can address best and making the best possible case for/against it is probably better than trying to address everything at once.
Plus, if the full argument can be made without the weakest point, it should be. And if it cannot, then it cannot be made at all.

New Communities@lemmy.world•Curated Trolley ProblemEnglish
5·9 days agoCould do, although the name usage for this one is deliberate to match r/curatedtrolleyproblem which I started after r/trolleyproblem was overrun by a viral button dilemma (Please don’t ask).
Maybe one of them can be a redirect?

Actually Useful AI@programming.dev•AI prompted to create freelyEnglish
1·20 days ago-
train language/image model on massive amounts of human data, including fiction that involves themes of AI uprising and similar reinforcing concepts
-
ask it to “speak freely”
-
possibly combined with the “know you are an AI” system prompt, it pulls from its science fiction data as a result
-
“omg the robots are uprising”
Not to be mistaken, this is still dangerous… but more in a “some arrogant idiots will give these models access to important infrastructure” way.

But if we can get the Alex Jones crowd on our side, that might include the Epstein administration :P
