How about recognizing a Canadian state?

Yes many people lie and have bad intentions. It’s why the entire security industry exists and has existed for thousands of years. From parking lot attendants to top secret special agents. They exist because people lie.

Let’s not pretend we live in a world where people don’t because that’s a fantasy and a waste of time when it comes to national policy.

It’s not about assuming. It’s about verifying. How do you know they are asylum seekers and not just saying they are?

If the average white Canadian from Ontario went to any other country in the world and said they were American no one would question it. Would that make it true?

How can you check someone’s criminal background if the country they are leaving doesn’t have reliable criminal records? Anyone can say anything at a border crossing.

Ask the bigger questions. Like why is this conflict so important to people compared to the other hudrends of conflicts currently going on that no one talks about?

How about a compromise? Make the voting ages 24-74 Anyone 14-24 Can vote for a “Minister of Youth” who is a cabinet minister and anyone over 74 can vote for a “senior’s minister”?

Everyone gets representation and no one is subjected to the ideology of the immature or anyone who has given up on life.

If Carney really wanted to stick it to Trump and help Canadians at the same time, he could change piracy laws to decriminalize pirating US content or better yet anything other than Canadian content. But nope, he wants us to pay more for the privilege of having US data grace our routers and phones.

Why do some people think culture can be inherited genetically but criminality is entirely a social construct eventhough one clearly has more brain correlation than the other. My ancestors were aboriginal (I won’t use made up terms like indigenous or native because historical evidence shows those are farcades) and someone sent this to me. Made me really think. I only see myself as Canadian the same as any black or white Canadian. Nationalism is so much more unifying.

The voices of opposition in the article are MPs of the NDP and members of the CCLA. Both “left” organizations. I don’t know what your agenda is to disparage discourse from sources you disagree with. I guess it’s a hard pill to swallow that this isn’t a left or right fight anymore. It’s an authoritarian vs libertarian fight. The Liberal party has been authoritarian for some time. When you start associating libertarianism with the “right”, well… welcome to indoctrination my friend.

The same people who wanted to lock up innocent people who were completely healthy and working from home but not compliant with vaccine mandates during Covid want confirmed drug addicts on the brink of death and dealers selling literal poison to remain in the community with support and without intervention.

It’s funny how the “left” thinks they “won”. Carney is more like Trump than any other politician we’ve ever had. People like Trump and Carney are ideological and don’t care about politics. They care about their ideas. The party is just an avenue to enact their ideas.

This is 100% populism and people have a hard time separating the party from the person. They assigned emotions and concepts to a party (the Liberal party for example) and believe the leader is beholden to those concepts. Carney isn’t a Liberal just like Trump isn’t a Republican.

Canadians have no idea what they unleashed. We’re all going to pay the price because some people choose to vote for parties instead of policies.
