I got one a couple years ago for Christmas. Guess you can still buy them from those mail order catalogs…
But I use it all the time! It’s so handy.

That’s what happened to me. Needed a printer in the middle of covid, ASAP. Nothing I researched was there, so I had a limited time to just pick a printer. Hmmm, this HP seems ok…
3 months later, there was no way I used all the ink. WTF. Go to buy more, and thats when I realized my mistake. !@#☆$%^&*

I’ve heard good things about the tank printers

Personal experience bets gen x.

Supposedly, if you deleted it during the blackouts… any sub that was down at the time of deletion, didn’t delete comments.

It’s still free for them. In their mind, that’s all that counts.

Can’t tell you how often I get a reminder to keep my eyes on the road, just because I repositioned my head, or tilted it down to stretch my neck. My eyes are on the road damn it. Now my car will turn off in the middle of the highway if i get a stiff neck…great.
Also, I had no idea subaru did this. I saw a recent article that mentioned a few big named car brands, and subaru wasnt included, so, i was naively hopefull. Plus, I realize im being recorded anyways, in an infinate amount of ways, but i didnt realize the car was in on it too. Wow, that sucks. I need to pay better attention, no pun intended.

You have a point. I sometimes definitely forget to consider the flip side of the coin.

Not at all. Back to that educating the public bit.
I’m not a tech wiz, but I do know my way around basic functions of a computer. If i have no* idea how it works or what it’s capable of, how are people who know next to nothing supposed to figure it out?

Well, shit. This explains a lot. But also, what chucklehead thought that was a good idea.
I know, now that you mention it, I vaguely remember something about how they didn’t think it should be kept only by some corps or something. Which is commendable but at the same time, ugh.
I have no problem with everyone being able to use it ,but there should have been an introductory period, if nothing else. Jeeze.
Whelp, fake everything here we…are.

Maybe an unpopular opinion, but I feel like anything produced by AI should be somehow watermarked at the source. At this point there’s only a handful of companies. It wouldn’t be too hard to have them all insert something into the final product that is easily identifiable. Something like a microscopic signature in a corner, with model info and date produced…idk. Not anything that ruins the image, but something that can be seen by anyone, if looked for.
If nothing else there should be a large push to inform the public of telltale features to look for (i.e. too many appendages) to help them determine if it’s created by AI or not. While not fool proof, if it can discount even a portion of the misinformation, imo, it’s worth an effort.
To me, it seems irresponsible of the companies running the AI to just unleash it upon the world without training us humans to understand what we’re looking at. Letting us see how realistic everything is while letting us know its been produced by AI, at least helps us to comprehend the scope of the matter and adapt to the situation at hand. Esp for those who don’t fully grasp what AI can and cannot do.

Cool. I didn’t even know that some of these banks were “green.”

As interesting as that would be to happen, in reality, there’s just going to be a bunch more people going without pre natal care.

Lies! They’re just trying to get us all back into the office!
Honestly, I have no room to speak. Everyone in my meetings turns off the camera and mutes the microphone unless they’re directly asked a question.

This. 100mbps is great and all except what good is it if people can’t afford it.

Oh you’ll love this then

what went into the meta analysis and why? What data might be missing from the meta review and why? Is only including double blind randomized controlled trials the best research method to answer the specific question being addressed? Was everything included together actually comparable?
The critiques / rebuttals to the masking review typcially ask these questions. This review almost falls apart after considering the answers.
If there’s not enough information to form a solid conclusion, maybe they have no business analyzing it until there is. At the very least, if they’re going to include partially unrelated studies, then reflect that in the title / opening statement. Don’t say the analysis is of apples, then analyze fruit in general.

Sounds like it would be a great time to buy up countries in default, just like in the American housing market…/s

I’m not saying that either I’m saying Americans are lazy and have no sense of work ethic and immigrants regardless of what they’re paid (not that I want them to be paid anything but the fair wage anyone else should be entitled to) are a required part of our work force and I’m grateful for the work they do. We wouldn’t have roads or building, or food. Some get paid well, some get paid shit. Im not a farmer so I can’t tell you if they chose to let the whole seasons crop go to waste over paying others more to pick said crops, or if they just didn’t have anyone that wanted to do actual work. From my narrow view, I have the tendency to think that no one wanted to work.
Honestly, I think I took your comment to mean something it didn’t. I’m sorry for any misunderstanding.
Yeah…I took the bait, then remembered what day it was.
