  • Another commenter mentioned film point and shoot cameras too and it’s not a bad idea if you don’t want to deal with all the technical stuff. I have no experience with them though, so I can’t speak for their ease or quality. My friend has a Minolta 3000i that I’ve been curious to try out. Those are on ebay for like $20-$50, so it may be a better choice for your first film camera.

  • If you enjoy photography and like the kinda vintage idea of how photos used to be, you should look into getting an old film SLR camera. I have a Minolta X-700, you can get one on ebay for like $200 and it’s a ton of fun. Film photography is a totally different experience than digital because you can’t just check a photo and delete it if you don’t like it. It’s more advanced than a point and shoot, but nowhere near as complicated as a modern DSLR. You can still buy film pretty easily at places like CVS too and most places that develop photos offer digital scans as well as prints.

  • Meidas Touch said that Ghislain Maxwell has an upcoming appeal and that she has the files as well. She’s apparently threatening to go public with them if Trump doesn’t make a deal with her. If Trump were to release doctored files, that makes a deal with her politically unviable and she has nothing to lose since she’ll likely be in prison for most of if not the rest of her life. The files have also already been submitted to court, so her’s could be verified by outside sources.

That’s essentially the only hope for getting the truth as far as I can tell, but I can’t say I really expect much to be exposed in the end.

  • I was listening to the 5-4 podcast recently and they repeatedly stressed the point that Trump has lost ≈90% of lower court decisions and won ≈90% of Supreme Court decisions, which is an absurd swing. I’ll try to dig up a source on it though. Still it’s blatantly obvious that the SC has completely abandoned the rule of law and the constitution.

  • I stopped caring about “getting my life together”. All it means to me is being a nice little cog in the soul crushing machine. I take care of the absolute minimum on a day by day basis and use what’s leftover to have fun and do what I want to. I figure by the time it catches up to me, the world will have really gone to shit. If somehow the state of things actually improve, either it’ll be a world that treats people with adhd better or I’ll go out on my own terms.

  • Yeah, I grew up with parents that didn’t believe in adhd despite my diagnosis and they were pretty harsh. I got bullied at school too, but my school was really big so I just got exiled to the group of other adhd kids and still had plenty of friends. Im definitely fucked up from it all, but I think I’ve grown a lot and learned about managing it and have become way better at giving emotional support than my parents.

So, I think I still want to have kids. My main hesitation is just my current financial situation as well as the generally bleak outlook of the world. Hopefully by the time I decide I’m stable enough to have kids, things will be better.
