Their games are good. Their prices, lawsuits, exclusives, and hardware are all shit.

News@lemmy.world•Clancy juror says holdout didn't show 'single piece of evidence' explaining voteEnglish
11·6 days agoYeah but didn’t the defense also have an expert testify the opposite?
A singular expert’s opinion is never a “case closed” matter.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a psychological "cheat code" you use in everyday life that actually works?English
5·9 days agoHow is “Don’t be lazy and procrastinate” a cheat code…?
About as dumb as “just buy a house” if you’re homeless.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•What is a psychological "cheat code" you use in everyday life that actually works?English
5·9 days agoFr people posting shit like “I’m nice and think positively” don’t understand the term “cheat code”.
Drugs are a cheat code, “thinking positively” is work
Some things are just human experiences, touch grass y’all
you can just call/text your boss that you have a common cold and you can be on a sick leave for few days (3 days is pretty common limit) just self-diagnosing it
Aw man I wish but my idiot countrymen voted the socially conservative neolibs again :(
Even non-life-threatening injuries can impair your driving and cause worse on the way to the hospital.
Just call an ambulance and explain the injury, they can evaluate if and how much you should be prioritised over others/ not.
Why waste doctors’ time on something that’ll pass on its own with a bit of rest and paracetamol?
Mandatory sick notes in my country, hate it.

Have you read anything he’s written?

You’re doing a pretty bad job understanding the non-fascist side tbh. I think you’re trying to smokescreen your personal opinion behind the guise of “trying to” understand DHH.

2·23 days agoTelemetry is usually non-identifiable (by law if your country follows GDPR).
This form if ID is also pretty circumstantial. That might fly for advertisers but in a court of law I have my doubts.

2·23 days agoIf you allow everything and all cookies most things are possible in theory. In practice most distros are secure enough and most users savvy enough to not accept everything blindly that it probably doesn’t happen.

Autism@lemmy.world•Does emotional control matter even as a Autistic person?English
3·24 days agoAspie checking in, emotional control is important but that does not mean we have to suffer everything in silence. Part of emotional control is recognising when things become overwhelming and communicating that, ideally to find a solution that works for all.
Ironically, in your story you were the more emotionally regulated one. Your parents should have communicated their emotional stress (from making people wait) in a better manner.

0·28 days agoThey’ve been a band with a trademarked name for 25 years.
They trademarked “Demon Hunters” in 2022…
Their case is shit, its frankly a miracle they were even able to trademark “Demon Hunters” because it’s so generic. I see this going nowhere.

43·1 month agoThat’s the problem though, there is no fixed definition for “Ultra processed foods” that doesn’t include healthy foods. Its a label people slap onto unhealthy foods and then retroactively attempt to categorise.

Today I Learned@lemmy.world•TIL that 4 out of 5 toddler foods are ultraprocessed. Nearly half fail to meet nutrition standardsEnglish
35·1 month ago“Ultra processed” is frankly a meaningless label in health discussions.
Raw milk is not healthier than “ultra processed” (i.e. pasteurised) milk for example. Ultra processed baby food is and should be the norm over raw, untreated baby food.

That’s intellectually lazy, companies quite simply aren’t equally capitalistic (sociopathic)
