You’re right of course, this kind of media is starting to flourish outside of the US and although they’re not as prominent, the trend is there and it’s looking bleak.

It’s the consequence of the diplomacy happening in the UN, it’s not the UN itself deciding to do something. The ones doing stuff are the member states, using the UN infrastructure.

The UN isn’t supposed to do things, it’s supposed to provide a forum where everyone can be heard and where all can exchange views.

It doesn’t have any tools to do stuff with.
