This is how actual wars begin. An attack on an embassy, then a retaliatory attack, then a huge attack in retaliation of the first retaliatory attack, and then war.

There are types of animals other than cows.
This is a waste of time as it doesn’t address the root cause of the problem.
Here are a few real impactful solutions:
Build and subsidize nuclear power
Ban cow ranching and beef entirely
Build and subsidize denser housing
I just read: “Biden administration set to greenlight $18 billion sale of F-15 fighter jets to Israel”
Oh sure… he’s “outraged”.
That money will just become an arbitrary number. They’ll look back on this in about 20 years thinking what a funny thing, people thought a number on a computer screen meant something. If you can’t turn your money into something with fundamental value then what is it anyway?
Rimworld comes to mind as well, pretty much any colony management or “life sim” style game.
Algae production is the solution, whether human greed will allow it to solve the problem is debatable.
Thank you for taking the time to write this. The disinformation around nuclear power is extremely damaging to humanity.
That’s not even the argument which was being made if that’s what you’re implying.
Their argument is simply: why is alcohol legal if it’s much more harmful?
Legalization is the first step in harm reduction. While it is still illegal it is much harder for people get help.
Yet they’re still able to put those stupid fucking recycling labels on their products as if it’s recycled.
Each 1 Wyoming voter is worth about 67 Californians in the senate due to the fact that California has about 67 times the population but still only 2 senators.
38,940,231 Californians / 576,851 Wyomingites = ~67.5 ratio
“This issue was not directly caused by a cybersecurity event; rather, it was caused by a third-party provider during a configuration change.”
Sounds probable.
New London police interviewed only candidates who scored 20 to 27, on the theory that those who scored too high could get bored with police work and leave soon after undergoing costly training
Yea sure, because they could get “bored”. What you really mean is because they could start asking questions and potentially start changing the way things are typically done.
Imagine going to the only grocery store available, there are no prices on any of the items, you shop there because you’re starving and have no choice.
You go to the checkout after each time you shop and there is a single cashier that says this:
“Fuck you. In about a couple months we’ll demand that you figure out how much you owe us. If you don’t figure it out then we’ll potentially place criminal charges against you. Thanks for shopping here.”
You realize that you have no fucking clue about how much the stuff you bought costs because it changes all the time and nothing is labelled and there’s no system for keeping track.
Welcome to the tax system in America.
One anonymous employee told Reuters, “You’d think the world’s leading Internet company would have worked this out.”
You don’t think that’s exactly why they constructed that building the way they did? WiFi is much less secure than a wired connection. It makes much more sense to me that they knew it would make WiFi not work as well to get more employees to used wired connections for security reasons.
More people will switch to Linux once and for all.
Holy shit this had me laughing hard. Someone paid $3k for that shit? 😂
This is what happens when you let billionaire leeches like Elon make decisions rather than real engineers.
That argument makes sense, it’s hard to view finding new helium deposits as good news if we keep wasting helium. As far as I can tell though, helium is already becoming much more expensive which may lead to less waste. It will become more scarce and expensive before the technology gets better at capturing it and storing it. https://www.technologyreview.com/2024/02/25/1088930/global-helium-market-semiconductors/
That doesn’t sound like a shit show at all. It would have been a shit show if it started spouting nonsense and racist shit, and it didn’t do that. You were able to look that up using other means anyway. I think you just made a statement about why decentralization is important, and not relying on a single source.
