    Why should they be? 2008 financial crisis? China unaffected. COVID? Nope, unaffected. The state run economy is inherently stable because of regulation. I’m not saying that death penalty for bankers that rip off the public is the way to go, but China has a point

      China’s economy was very affected by Covid and the growth of China’s economy has been projected to slow as China can’t rely on its construction sector to continue to supply growth.

      That said, China has been preparing for some form of trade war with the USA for a while, so they probably have something planned for this and can now blame any lack of growth on the USA to its citizens.
