        I read The Road by Cormac McCarthy when I was like 22 and it sent me into a decade long depression I never really recovered from.

        So I think I’ll pass. Good tip tho.

            Hey even The Road ended on a happy note.

            After all that hardship and horror, the poor starving child was rescued and lived happily ever after with a family on a boat and they just sailed the white blue oceans as free as the sun.

            My interpretation is that McCarthy was saying, yeah, this will happen, this has happened, and here’s your happy ending so you don’t slit your wrists after reading this.
