This is quite an old community but it’s never been advertised here and has been a ghost town for months. But I made 3 posts in it recently and they did well so it seems like there’s an appetite for this subject out there.
That’s weird. I have an account on Lemmy.world. Why can’t I see the eink community on piefed.social without having to create a separate piefed account?
At least one user has to search for it first (“!epaper@piefed.social”) for a given home instance to go talk to the remote host and learn about the community.
Someone has apparently done that, since it’s visible now:

And once at least one user on a home instance subscribes to the remote community, the home instance will get posts and comments for the community, and those will become visible in “All”.
When the scrapers get really active I put poefed.social into private mode temporarily.
The best way to view the community is with !epaper@piefed.social because then it’ll open on Lemmy.world.
If you click the bang link !epaper@piefed.social it should take you to the community so you can subscribe.
