Not to mention he was going to drive or had just driven while high on crack cocaine…

    Zero regard for human life.

This comment made me question what crack does to your reaction times. It isn’t making them hallucinate as far as I know. Alcohol and cannabis slow your reaction times, but I was curious. So I ended up stumbling on this study where John Hokins er… Drugged animals https://pure.johnshopkins.edu/en/publications/effects-of-cocaine-on-simple-reaction-times-and-sensory-threshold-3/

The curious part to me was this line from the abstract. "at higher doses, either decreases or increases in reaction times were observed, depending upon the animal. "

So apparently there are times with certain beings that may have quicker reaction times maybe. Need to figure out if I’m interested enough to read the whole study to find out what they meant.

Even if the reaction times were to increase, I doubt that there’s zero impact on the ability to make safe judgement calls, practice safe driving, etc.

Oh yeah I get what you mean but maybe we shouldn’t assume they were making safe judgement calls in the time leading up to smoking the crack cocaine either, haha.

As someone who has smoked cocaine; Driving after smoking cocaine, is defo unbelievably dangerous for everyone inside, and outside, the vehicle.

And if dude is smoking crack on the regular, there is no point where he is safe operating a motor vehicle.

If there’s one thing I know about people that smoke crack, they are always high on crack. Always.

TIL everything seemed to go great, the next day modus told me someone must have ran into the sides back and front of his car though. Don’t think they’re gonna let me borrow the car again, AITA? It must have happened after I dropped it off
