Many former Nazi officials were high ranking members of NATO, including Adolf Heusinger. This makes sense, considering NATO is a military coalition of imperialist countries meant to deter revolution against imperialism and neocolonialism, like SEATO, ANZUS, and CENTO.

If Trump destroyed NATO, this would genuinely be an accidental anti-imperialist move.

God damn. I had a vague understanding of all that, but to have it all documented makes me a bit ill. America has a serious issue of lack of comeuppance.

We can have the solace that the US empire cannot last forever, and with all the atrocities it has and continues to commit, in the long term its digging its own grave. The people of the world refuse to be kept in chains, they have risen up and will continue to do so. Class struggle will rear its head until class society is abolished, and the contradictions inherent to it are resolved.

I hope that you will actually look at the sources that people gave you. It’s understandable that you are sceptical but it’s very important to learn the actual origin of NATO because it’s the first step of understanding that NATO has been a tool for imperialism and the suppression of leftists revolutions around the world since its inception

My guy, NATO is irrelevant without the US lmao. I know Europeans, unable to cope with the fact that they’re vassals of the US, want to believe that they can keep NATO going without the US, but there is no such option. The moment the US decides NATO is no longer their problem, it’s over.

And please, stop reading slop and actually use whatever is left of your brain. Almost all of US actions right now are driven by a need to contain China, something they can’t succeed at no matter what they do. Meanwhile, Russia is providing China the thing it needs to keep it’s industry running.

Why would the US even consider helping out Russia?

Don’t come at me with great man theory talking points. Trump and Putin are both just figureheads in history. History moves on materialism, not individual choices

I appreciate your honest curiosity/inquiry. The world is more complex than what it seems (and certainly more complex than “Russia bad, NATO good”), and I doubt anyone can competently hold all this info in their head, so stay safe out there and remain curious.

I think that is the best description of the clusterfuck of a world we have.

No one can keep the competing rivalries and poor choices leading to worse ones straight in their heads. Thousands of years of people being absolute morons to each other, and no one will ever untie the gordian knot.
