A new gene therapy is giving people born deaf the chance to hear, often within just weeks. In a small but groundbreaking study, researchers delivered a working copy of a key hearing gene directly into the inner ear using a single injection. All ten patients, ranging from young children to adults, experienced improved hearing, with some showing rapid gains in just one month.

Enlighten me on this topic as I’m ignorant.

Do women generally find bald men less attractive? Or do men just find other bald men less attractive?

Basically what’s wrong with being bald?

If I gesture vaguely to society in general, is that enough of a hint?

Interesting. I’ve never heard my female friends say anything negative about a bald guy’s head.

I feel like it’s one of those things where the person may lose confidence and then become less attractive due to the confidence. But nothing about being bald.

Maybe a distinction between balding men and bald men should be made here.

Maybe we should be fair and consider women too. Are balding women attractive? I think women who shave their head are often attractive. But that’s not always equal to bald.

“Curing baldness” was a poor choice of words, since hair loss is usually progressive. It’s not like people are often born bald and wish for a cure.

If we are just trying to say inner beauty is what matters, then… that’s true. But we are all still human.
